  1. Wins: 3 (1 fuel mileage)

    top 5's 9

    top 10's 18

He will make the chase but only finish second behind Elliot Sadler.

EDIT : When TOM G talks Lauren Wallace puts HIMSELF in the WALL !!!!

  2. Wins: 0

    Top 5: 2

    Top 10: 6

    Avg. Start: 22

    Avg. Finish: 16

Edit: That's the plan, I'm going to make 10 starts in the #5 JR Motorsports entry with sponsorship from Delphi and Lowe's.

Edit 2: I like those results Dave. I'll lay back and let him win it and cheer from the driver's seat. lol Thanks Winter, I'll send you some free gear, I'll get Rowdy to autograph some too.

Edit 3: LMAO Dave. 1,000 miles away, lol. The season you described actually sounds like Kyle this year.

    Edit 4: Lol at TBone

Edit 5: bestanswer: LOL, I'm too good for even JGR, I'm going to race remote-control boats and Camrys with Lauren Wallace and I'll put him in the wall. LOL

Edit 6: Jeff Gordon=Legend: Brilliant, absolutely brilliant. I hope to not let you down!

  3. I think Tom G will come right in and dominate. He will keep the #48 tradition of winning and running consistant throughout the year. He will be aggressive but not overly aggressive. His team will not get caught cheating like the #48 does now. He will win and do it the right way. He is so dang good he wont have to cheat or push the gray areas of the rulebook.

    13 wins

    a slew of top 5's and 10's

He makes the chase easily and wins it in his rookie year.

He will probably do some moonlighting in the Nationwide series too in 2009 because Tom G is a pure racer at heart and likes racing everything even those motorized boats like in the Geico commercials with Lauren Wallace. Tom G will put Lauren Wallace in the wall. He will be 1000 miles away son.

    Go Tom G the VP!!!!

  4. I'm comfortable with new looks.  I'm comfortable with new style.  I'm comfortable with Wrangler.

  5. Outlook for 2009 - Is this Tom G's year?                ESPN.com

    August 15th, 2008

Daytona Beach, FL.- Ok, let me make this clear. VP Tom G is a force to be reckoned with. That's right. You may be wondering, "What about Logano?" Well what about Logano? Sure, he's in the Joe Gibbs camp, but sure enough, Tom has found himself in some elite equipment at Hendrick Motorsports. Yes, Logano is in some top-notch equipment, but Tom just has that "Wow!" factor in him that Joey lacks. He has flair. A full head of hair (I think), and not to mention his aggressive style. He has that I-will-win-no-matter-what-attitude. I can almost see that fire in his eyes. Almost. If I squint hard enough. But I'm not going to. Ahem.. but I digress. Predictions have shown Tom to win a couple races, and I totally agree. With that machine he's driving, a great crew cheif in Chad Knaus, and a oh so stellar pit crew, and not to mention the vast resources of Hendrick, why not? So Jimmie's gone. And what have fans wondered? Here are a few fan letters from across the country. (My answers are in CAPS)

Jack from Des Moines, Iowa writes,

Hey Jeff Gordon = Legend, what's all the hype about?

WELL JACK, TOM HAS THE SUPERIOR EQUIPMENT AT HENDRICK MOTORSPORTS. HE'S LIKE A FREAKAZOID AT TIMES, AND ISN'T AFRIAD TO SPEAK HIS MIND. HANDS DOWN, HE IS.. A FREAKAZOID.

    And Rick from Seattle writes,

Hey Jeff Gordon = Legend, what's your outlook on Hendrick as a whole?

HENDRICK AS A WHOLE.. WILL THRIVE UNDER TOM'S LEADERSHIP AND ABILITY, AND CERTAINLY HE'LL MAKE HIS MISTAKES, BUT ALL IN ALL, THEY'LL BENEFIT FROM HIS TALENT. HIS INSIGHT IS SECOND TO NONE, AND HIS KNOWLEDGE OF THE SPORT REALLY PAYS DIVIDENDS. BUT.. KEEP IN MIND, HE'S A ROOKIE. BUT HE WON'T LET THAT HAMPER HIM. NO WAY. I SEE HENDRICK BECOMING BETTER.

This will be an intriguing year for Tom. News of this spread like dough on a pizza, and the fans have put him under "modest" expectations. A fuel mileage win here, a win there. But again, he's a FREAKAZOID. So he'll be tearing up that track once that green flag drops at Daytona.

What a year this will be.

Jeff Gordon = Legend is a contributor to ESPN and travels the country doing nothing. That's right. Nothing.

  6. Hey he'll dominate and win all 36 races, and the 2009 Sprint Cup Championship!!!

Go Tom, I'll be your first fan..

  7. VP Tom G comes out and wins 2 races his rookie season. It's plagued with some inconsistency, and he has a few wrecks early on. He wins at Kansas during the chase, while becoming a fan favorite by wrecking the #18 M&M Toyota driven by Kyle Busch with just 4 to go. After the race, Tom G says "I just meant to rattle his cage, and scare his M&Ms a bit." The crowd goes wild. He is voted NASCAR's second most popular driver and takes rookie of the year honors over Joey Logano. He makes the chase and finishes off the season 5th in points, the same way Jimmie Johnson did in his rookie season. The next year he announces that he "has too much talent and personality and is tired of wearing these stupid suit and ties" for HMS and teams up with JGR and Kyle Busch and automatically loses 90% of his fan base...but at RICHMOND in May he accidently takes Kyle Busch out AGAIN and gets all his old fans back.
