  1. Technically there are  8 different refs. One man is open each side, and then the other four split into 2 per side respectively.

  2. Generally, there are three referees that officiate the game.  The Center Referee is located on the field of play with the players.  Since the rules of soccer are called “Laws”, the Center Referee is responsible for enforcing the Laws of the Games.  These responsibilities include keeping track of game time, supervising player substitutions, determining fouls and misconduct, and ultimately the result of the game.

The two Assistant Referees support the Center Referee.  One assistant runs each sideline (actually called the touchline).  The Assistant Referees call out of bounds, determine goal kicks or corner kicks, call offsides, and report fouls seen that the Center Referee may not be in a position to see.  Assistant Referees are typically not needed in games with very young players - due to the size of the field and offsides is not enforced.

  3. 3. 2 on the sides, and one in the back

  4. i think six

  5. There is only one. Well, atleast that's what my gym teacher tells me. I play it well too!

  6. There are three officials ie,two referees and one timer who sits just outside the pitch.
