  1. I do. I have friends with the name so I can't really forget them lol.

  2. That wasn't so long ago.

    Most vivid memories?

I remember Alesi doing wonders in it.

Especially his fight with Senna in Phoenix and with Berger in Monaco.

Nice little car that was, another example of a fine chassis taking advantage of a small but underpowered engine.

That was the last time I remember seeing so many sparks generated from the front wing touching the ground.

  3. I remember seeing this one:   http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4GewFbY0z...

    I still don't believe it's real.

  4. Yes...I remember them winning too.

I met Harvey Postlethwaite when I was young...my dad worked for Ford so there were always motorsport tie-ins for the staff and customers and as my dad's boss knew I loved F1, I usually got an invite! Tyrrell were one of the teams which always seemed to send people along. I also got to meet Martin Brundle and Jonathan Palmer like that.

  5. Do I? Ken Tyrrell was the first celebrity I asked for an autograph! Brilliant team who was never afarid to try something different. Harvey Posthelwaite was a fabulous designer too.

Such a shame their last season ( 1998) was ruined by BARs focus on 1999 and pathetic drivers.

    RIP Uncle Ken.

  6. I remember them.  The look on Ken's face throughout the seasons as he knew his beloved sport was changing beyond recognition. THAT X winged car (so, so ugly) and Mika Salo fighting and eventually retiring from so many races.

Good old Privateer, now we only have Sir Frank Williams.

  7. Pretty hard to forget. Lumber baron Ken Tyrell built the only successful 6-wheeled Formula One Cars. I still have a poster of one with Jackie Stewart leaning over it.

Panther Cars got into the act and built a car for the street using the 6-wheel formula.

  8. I remember them well.... synonymous with Jackie Stewart of course... one of the last Classic privateer teams... after Lotus, McLaren, Williams and Brabham (sad that only two are left now..)

I agree with Julian that was a sad end to their life when BAT decided not to bother much with 98 (with hindsight they needn't bother so much with 99 as BAR either seeing as the car was so rubbish...) and stuck two pay drivers in there... especially Rosset who was one of the worst drivers I have seen in F1.... DNQing in a car that wasn't even that bad...

Jean Alesi vs Senna at Phoenix was probably their last truly great moment... most of the 90's were spoilt by lack of money and poor engines... like Minardi they always designed a neat car... thanks to Postlethwaite

Good memories...even for a young'un like me lol

  9. Wow that was a long time ago. Now though they're essentially honda.
