"In 1985, Earnhardt ranked eighth in points for the season. His family by that time had grown to include four children and a new wife. With a larger family to support, Earnhardt pulled out all of the stops, and his reckless competition style emerged with a vengeance. In three out of his four wins that year he bumped other drivers from his path.At the second Winston Cup race of the 1986 season, at Richmond, Earnhardt knocked Darrell Waltrip's car so hard in the final lap that both drivers spun out. The officials slapped Earnhardt with a $5,000 fine and one year of probation. Although the probation was lifted, the incident sparked an intense rivalry that season between the two drivers.Earnhardt earned a reputation for highly emotional displays and outbursts while driving. He was a moody, aggressive competitor who went after the competition by making physical contact between the cars."

  1. i wished he was here so we could find out for real

  2. Dale Sr would take Kyle under his wing in todays sport and race him as the son he never had.

  3. R M, who's your favorite driver because you are blind

Kyle Busch and his snotty, West Coast self wouldn't stand a chance against the Intimidator. Ky. Busch would be whining like, "You're too rough to drive with!!!"

  4. i don't remember all of it, just some.   I think its funny how anytime His name is mentioned in the same sentence with Kyle Busch alot of the Earnhart "Fans" seem to act like they remember his entire career and was apparently a complete gentleman and fan favorite all the time.

  5. Dale Sr would have taken kyle down a level or two after Richmond an then at darling ton wiping the tear away an tauting the crowed  hes lucky they didn't car jack him an kill him or what ever after that

  6. Sounds a little like Kyle Busch. Kyle is more of a whiner though, escpecially when he was in the Busch Series and very early in Cup.

  7. Sr was an @ss!

  8. Yes! Yes! Yes! Sr. never whined "He took my Line!" Kyle Busch is a Whiner! "The only one who can not only drive 3 wide by himself" (Darrel Waltrip). He's also the wreckenest (by himself) while leading.

    R.I.P. Big E!
