  5. I wouldn't count on more than 5 rooms, even if it is a good quality paint. You may have to paint two coats (especially if it is a dark color) and you always want to keep some of the extra for unplanned for scrapes and scuffs in the future.

    Of course, mathematically, 5 gallons would paint 6 rooms but usually not in the real world. Funny how that doesn't work out!!
