  1. 1 the 3" picece hanging under the bell>>Got ya>

  2. there are not rope on a boat.  they are called lines.

  3. There is only one rope on a sail boat.  It is the lanyard attached to the clapper of the ships bell.  All other functional ropes are referred to as lines. Things with names like "Bolt Rope, Tiller Rope, Foot Rope" are integral components of other pieces and may not be made of rope at all.  They are still referred to as lines.

  4. 2or 3 luff rope foot rope and a possable boltrope

  5. Is this a trick question?

One, the rest are refered to as lines.

    EDIT

I am refering to the bell rope, but I just though maybe the "tow rope" could be one.

    EDIT AGAIN

    OH c**p

I just thought of some more, tiller rope, bolt rope, and a foot rope.   I think that's it.
