How many roses would be in a small bridesmaid bouquet?

I don't want big ones for them.

Would 6 be ok or too little? Or should I do 12 for each?

My florist told me there will be about 16-18 roses in my bridal bouquet, so I think 8-10 would be enough for a bridesmaid bouquet.

It's always better to use an odd number, so I would go for 7 or 9 (don't know why, but apparently even numbers don't look as balanced to the eye)

As long as you bind them fairly high up the stem (so they make a posy rather than a bouquet), I think that 7 would be fine.
