  1. some 10

    some 12

    some 15

some are only 3 if there are lot of fights on the card that night.

  2. Amateurs - 3 rounds

    Pros - 4, 6, 8, 10, 12

Championship Fights - Always 12 (this is why the 11th & 12th rounds are called Championship Rounds)

  3. Depends on the fighters.

Mike Tyson has been know to win a fight in the first round.

Muhammed Ali has been know to go 12 rounds and more.

  4. When you first start out, you fight 4-rounders.  Gradually, you move up to 6, 8, and then 10 rounders.  Title fights and title eliminators are 12 rounds.  They used to be 15, but got shortened to 12.  There are some non-title fights that go 12 rounds as well, a recent example would be the fight between Roy Jones, Jr. and Felix Trinidad- it was a 12 round fight, but there was no title at stake and it wasn't a title eliminator.

  5. first of all there are 2 kinds of boxers.

    1. amateurs

    2. professionals

for the amateurs (as in the olympics) there are a maximum of 4 rounds of 2 minutes each with 1 minute rest in between. then the outcome is based on the number of points. when i say "maximum of" i mean that the match can get over by a knock out or a technical knockout or by throwing in the white towel or illegal blow etc. before the 4th round itself. i hope you understood.

and for the big guys called the professionals. earlier there used to be a total of 15 rounds but now only a maximum of 12 is allowed.

12 rounds are for the championship or title fights.

10 rounds for non title fights.

each round is of 3 minutes with 1 minute gap. and the above condition of knockouts etc. is valid.

womens boxing has different rules there can be a maximum of 10 rounds(for championship matches) with only 2 minute rounds. there is no womens boxing for amateurs in the olympics. i hope this answers your question.

  6. 12 10 8 7 6 5 and 4, 3 for amateurs

  7. depends on what the fighters and promoters agree on --usually 10 for pro---less for amatuers

  8. 3

    5

    10

    12

  9. there is 12 10 8 6 4

  10. USually 12
