  1. Considering a legal delivery, If the ball is still in the field, the batsman can run as long as he is not run out, or until the ball reaches the 'keeper or bowler. If the ball goes out of the field along the ground then the number of times batsman ran or 4 runs, which ever is higher is awarded. If the ball goes out of the field without touching the ground inside the field, (Synonymous to ball lost ) 6 runs are awarded. If the batsmen already ran three or four and the bowler hurls a over throw, the runs initially ran + 4 runs are awarded.

In case of a penalty, 5 runs + extra runs for wide / noball if any + if the batsmen has ran any before the penalty incident happened those runs will be awarded. If the fielder deliberately kicks or throws the ball out of the boundary, whatever the batsmen ran + 4 runs will be awarded.

  2. 7 runs

  3. Well logically if the fielding side failed to run out the batsmen (for some wierd reason) the batsmen could just continually run and run and run. Hence hundreds of runs could be scored however this will never happen, in reality the most likely is about 10runs in one ball

  4. In one ball 4 or 6 runs can be possible

  5. some people are so stupid, you can only run a maxmium of fours runs when running between the wickets, not infinite.

and for your answer the maximum is 10 runs, explained by ONE IN A MILLION

  6. Seven

  7. After 200 hundred you are due for a new ball.

  8. infinity

as over throws can make runs in 1 ball unknown

like a no ball hit for 3 runs then over throw gone for another 3 then once again an over throw for 4 makes 11 and yet the ball is not counted.

  9. 8 runs!!

    noball-1

3 runs by running between the wickets -3

    over through for boundary-4

  10. Unlimited, because if one side thinks that it is dead ball, and sees the batsmen running, but they ignore them cause they think the batsmen are crazy, then the batsmen obtain multiple runs, cause the ball isn't dead after all.

  11. It is possible to score an infinite amount of runs off one ball. And heres a prime example of this...

The first ball of an 1893/94 match between Western Australia and Victoria was hit into the branches of a jarrah tree just inside the field of play. The ball was out of reach and so the home side appealed for "lost ball". The umpires however disagreed seeing as the ball wasn't lost because everybody could see exactly where it was.

The batsmen carried on running while the home side tried to find an axe to cut down the tree. They couldn't find an axe but instead brought out a shotgun and tried to blast the ball from the tree. After several misses, the ball was finally dislodged and fell onto the outfield.

Nobody thought to catch it. Therefore the batsmen claimed the 286 runs they had accumulated. The home side then declared their one-ball innings and went on to win the match. :)

  12. 10 runs off No Ball and 9 runs off legitimate delivery.

In both the cases b atsman hits the ball, the ball hit the helmet kept b ehid the wicket-keeper and crosses boundary.

5 Runs for the ball hitting the helmet, 4 runs for ball crossing the boundary ropes in case of legitimate delivery and plus one run in case of no ball.

  13. 7 -  running between wicket(3 runs) + Boundary (4)

  14. 7

  15. 10 - no-ball bowled, ball hits wicketkeeper's helmet behind the stumps when the keeper misses it and still manages to get to the boundary!!

    5 runs(for hitting the keeper's helmet) + 4 runs (boundary) + 1 run (no-ball) = 10 runs!!

Edit: If u mean one legitimate ball then - 9 runs(same explanation as above but get rid of the no-ball bowled)!!

  16. infinitely many through extras.

  17. The runs are uncountable in 1 ball as kinney said the incident.Without any no-balls or wides then 9 runs are possible in 1 ball if the ball hits the fielding wicketkeeper helmet lying on the ground then the batting side gets 5 runs and still if ball goes for four then the batting side will gets 9 runs

  18. Logically Unlimited....im talking about legal delivery... over like M. Sami against Bangla.. that if any one bowl 9 or 10 consecitive wides... and suppose 5 out of ten gone out of the park... what are the score will reach;;

at only 1 delivery..i think no ball touches the helmet and then over through and another over through.. .. i think no one can guess how many runs are possible in one ball
