How many of those do you actually use and what are they?

  1. 1...1 horse 1 saddle...lol y do u hav 18?!?! why not just sell the ones u dont use and use the money for shows?

  2. I have four.

    1. Big Horn western hand me down. Needs stirrup work, getting it done next week then going to take it out for the first time ever.

    2. Western. Just got it a few months ago, but its a super nice ride

    3. Western synthetic for the kids to ride in

    4. Australian saddle. Its a pretty neat ride.

I really only use #2 since I got it, seems it will be the winner on most days as it is super comfy, and fits my gelding nicely. I have one horse, but cant bear to downsize. Saddles and tack are like an addiction. I am am always looking for good deals, and on ebay so I can buy more stuff I will never use. But what I will do with it is take whatever I dont use at all and trade it up for a saddle (thats how I got #2 and #4), and I always come out on top. Its a lot of fun....... I wish the world would get rid of money and go back to trading. Its so much more interesting.

  3. 3, 1 english and 2 western. it is good to have more than one on hand as it could break, you never know. The horse might be getting pinched (as mine did) and all I had to do was switch saddles.

  4. I have 1 saddle!....I am smart lol.

  5. OMG, I can't believe what collectors you guys are!  And I thought I had a lot of stuff.

As for saddles, I only have 3: 2 western, and one english.  I use both western because they fit different horses, and then use the english occasionally, but not as much as the western saddles.

You should sell your extra saddles on eBay, make some extra bucks.  Then maybe you could afford the hay prices this year...LOL.

  6. I have 4 saddles and I use only one. The rest are just decorations ...I will not admit that my rear has grown..LOL

  7. ha!  I had 6, now I have one and I am getting rid of it soon too.  I am concentrating on my yearling and she/I doesn't need a saddle for sometime.  I prefer to train with as little tack as possible, so as long as I can reach her (she is tall) I will train her without one.  I may need a ladder rather than a saddle!

  8. at one point i had 7 saddles maybe 4 used oh and a buddy saddle . but since i'v went from 5 horse to 3(ones only 2 so about to train him)

    I have now 3 sadlles

My barrel saddle. and my guest/trail saddle

Oh and a kids saddle that i use for breaking horses:)

  9. I have 12 saddles. Only 2 that I use regular. I never figured out why they give a bull rider or a bareback rider a saddle. It's not like he will use it. Gimme the cash and buckle and I'll be on my way. The funny thing is the saddle I use when we go to the local jackpot calf roping says champion bull rider on it. Thats funny.

  10. I have one and its a western saddle. I had two at one point, the other was an endurance saddle, but i sold it now that im not going to be doing endurance.

  11. I have 3 (which I thought was alot lol)

I have a Wintec dressage that my mom uses on her Arabian.

A Wintec close contact...it was my old saddle that I just have as a spare.

My Pessoa :) my baby lol I use it all the time :D

I mainly just use my Wintec CC when I am going to ride a diffrent horse at a new place so my expensive saddle doesn't get all messed up, the Wintec rides jsut as well as the Pessoa the Pessoa just looks better ^^

The the dressage, my mom uses and I sometimes use it if I take a dressage lesson/clinic...but not much (it was my first saddle for like 3 years then I got my CC and right after my mom got her Arabian...then about 1 1/2 or 2y/o I got my Pessoa)

lol I thought I had alot of saddles...but  guess not lol

  12. 17?! i'm sorry but thats crazy!

haha, well, i have one saddle, one horse and one rider and it works out quite well [=

And i have a Dover Circuit Pro Close Contact Jumping saddle.. i got it for my birthday a few years back and its the best thing EVER.  Well worth the money and its fit nearly every horse i put it on [= (except on really lanky skinny TB)

I am looking into getting a dressage saddle soon though, but i'm not sure since i love my CC so much i might never use it!

Can't wait to see what the others say!

  13. Five with 2 in the backseat of my car as I need to get rid of them.

    1. McCall Lady Wade Western Saddle

    2. Collegiate Jessica Dressage Saddle

    3. Custom bareback saddle

    4. Wintec AP saddle

    5. Guffly Elite Crestridge Western Saddle

I use 1 & 3 the most and 4 & 5 have to go as they no longer fit my broad-backed guy. Yeah, and that's all for ONE horse. It's an illness. Hahahahaha...

  14. my family of 4 riders, owns around 10 saddles,  most of them are old worn-out saddles that we can't get rid of.  out of the 10 we use 7 consistently.  they are all western saddles, exept one that is a orthoflex.

  15. I have... 5?

    I have 1 dressage

    1 all purpose/hunt seat

    3 western..

Most of the time I only use my western eq saddle. I don't practice english so much. haha.

I use the dressage saddle too when I'm riding my TB.

The other saddles are either for show or they are like... spares when we are working more than one horse at a time.

  16. I have one western Wintec synthetic saddle and I use it ALL of the time. I love it so much! It is so comfy!

  17. i own 3 but use 2

    1 barrel

    1 trail

    i ride wesern

finally a question that nobody is agruing about lol :)

  18. I have two, one I use daily, the other one well, it's sitting in a tack store waiting to be sold!! Anyone want a Cynron MXB 18" brown with buffalo leather?!?

  19. I have a total of 8 all around leather, 40lb western  saddles and 8 horses! I just saddle them up, line em up and ride for almost 10hrs on the ranch! Amen to tylonal!

  20. i have around 9 saddles but i ride two regularly and the rest were family saddles from my grandfather on up.some i ride every once in a while just to keep them supple and one i dont ride anymore because of a little sturrup strap situation and i want to keep it origional.

i forgot three saddles i have.one is a peruvian paso show saddle and tack that i bought at an auction(price was good and it is a nice saddle but i dont have a peruvian paso) and two english saddles(i dont know why and i couldnt tell you who made them or what they are for...but i have them)

  21. i have 3. my barrel racing saddle, which i use for general western riding as well - i ride in this the most; 4 or more days a week.

wat some would call a trail or endurance saddle that i dont use very often only on long trail rides, camping, or wen i need to condition horse.

and last but not least my all purpose english saddle. i ride in it about 2 or 3 times a week. jumping or just plain riding to improve my english riding skills.

but overall i ride in my western saddle the most, while sometimes the others are left dusty. lol

  22. I have one.. and I use it.

It is a total piece of cheap c**p, but it has stood up to endless abuse. It's going on seven years, bought it for dirt cheap after years of use, has been rolled on, trampled, hardly ever sees a sadle rack (it does see a lot of the barn floor), and I really don't take that good of care of it. It's a good thing it's held up to so much, because as much as I need two new saddles to replace it (barrel saddle for western & a nice good quality close contact for english, current is a crappy close contact). As much as Old CrapE has stood up to, it is heading to a retirement as soon as I have the money. It is also (although it has fit EVERY horse it has been used on, which is a lot) a pony saddle, and I'm way too tall for it.

So yeah maybe the saddle fairy will leave a good sturdy barrel saddle (or even trail I don't ride western that much anymore) and a nice little Crosby close contact under my pillow.

  23. I have 6 ( 7 if you count the bareback thing)

We actually use 4 ( and the bareback thing sometimes)

I have no idea why I still keep the others ( and clean them too) I just do.

  24. And I thought I was bad!

I have 6 saddles. 2 Broken Horn western saddles, one's my show saddle the other's my work saddle. One fully buckstitched 1960's Circle Y western saddle, a Big Horn pony saddle and an unmarked slick seated western saddle that I need to repair and sell.

As for English, I have my 1969 Stubben Siegfried VSJ and my about the same era, Stubben Parzival VSD.

  25. I have 4 2 westernds and 2 english :) 2 are my sisters but i did pay for them :D

  26. The saddle I use almost all the time is a 25 year old Crosby Mark VII all purpose.  It has fit many horses over the years.  I also have a 23 year old County Competitor Dressage saddle, which I don't use as often.

Also in my tack room is a tiny synthetic leadline saddle which is currently unused, and it's replacement, a HDR Club all purpose 15" saddle for my son, who is 7.

  27. I feel better about my tack addiction after reading every one's answers.

I have 5 saddles:  a Scott Cutter, a synthetic western trail, a Courbette Dressage, a Courbette AP, a synthetic AP.  Only one I don't use is the synthetic AP, but only since I bought the Courbette AP.

Found myself looking @ western show saddles this last week.  Good thing they went for > $2000.  Changed my mind.

  28. 1. Arabian western show

    2. semi qh western trail

    3. full qh synthetic western trail

    4. arabian synthetic western trail

    5. full qh western child 10" seat synthetic

    6. leather english jumping

    7. stubben seigfried dressage

I think that's all I have right now....?  I have 7.they all get used periodically, but 3 more than the others.  I also have the Cashel soft saddle, so I guess that makes 8.

  29. I have a western roping saddle that I bought at an antique store hoping to clean it up, oil it, and maybe use it once in a while. I learned that people had previously rode in it and used it in a lesson program. The girth looked old so I looked it up on line, and it is an old vintage cowboy girth. Turns out I won't be able to use it so it's just sitting pretty on my draw and it will just be a decorative saddle. I have to say it gives my room a special touch. Good luck!

  30. 2 saddles, one dressage, one western for trails, I had another jumping saddle, but I sold it.

  31. i have two, one english and one western, i dont use either atm. . . need a horse, but i do clean them and keep them nice. i'm planning on buying one more saddle(in the next 5 years) it'll be an endurance saddle, but i gots to save up first and find de rite horse first.
