  1. It takes a split second.  I found out tonight when I burnt my hand on a pan that I didn't think was hot.  I touched it and then felt the pain right away.  


  2. It takes less than milliseconds for your brain to register pain

    I cant remember how long but its extremely fast.

  3. Usually less than a second, depending on the location and the neural pathway taken.  But sometimes the autonomic nervous system intercepts the signal and acts even before the signal reaches the brain.  The best example is the reflex reaction of a hand touching a hot stove.
