  1. It depends on what the baron needs and how much the baron can afford.A baron may have household help--butler,maids,cook,

    housekeeper,gardener.A baron

may have an assistant;the assistant may help with letters and other correspondence.

Lawyers and accountants are other possibilities. And if the baron has a very large estate,he may have an estate manager to oversee the running of the estate.

  2. Rory Emerald, Baron of Sligo, has 14 in-house servants at his ancestral  estate in Ireland. He also keeps a staff of three at each of his other homes which are in New York Hollywood, Cannes, and Sydney. In addition there are gardeners etc working outside the actual home.

  3. it varies onthe size of the estate and when you are talking about. for example princess mary henry VIII's sister had 200 or so. a baron being a much lower rank would have fewer. also are you refering to persoanl servants or ppl working under him?

  4. There have been barons ever since the Norman Conquest. Which century are you talking about?
