  1. Depends on your job. I work at the home depot and as a part timer, i earn 2 sick hours every month. If i was a full timer i would earn 4 hours every month. After working there for one year i earned 20 hours (one part time week) of paid vacation. If i was full time i would have earned 40 hours. I was not allowed to use the 20 vacation hours until i worked there for one full year. I dont know if that helped any but thats how it works at my job.

  2. You don't say where you are, and laws might differ by country.

In the US, you aren't entitled to ANY by law.  Many companies do allow some paid sick days, at least for full timers.  It's becoming more common for companies to allow full timers a certain number of paid days off, which can be used for sick days, personal days or vacation.

In the US, there is a federal law called FMLA (Family and Medical Leave Act).  If you qualify, and not everyone does, you could be entitled to up to 12 weeks unpaid leave for a qualifying reason.  See http://www.dol.gov/dol/topic/benefits-le...

  3. no one is entitled to sick pay, it is a gift by employers and as suc is not governed by any law
