  1. one regular has 20 sides made of all equillateral triangles

so unless the the 2 regular icosahedron's are joined at one side there would be 40 side between 2 icosahendrons.

  2. "icosahedron" basically means "20-sided figure"

A "regular" one has sides that are all the same, but even if they weren't, it still has 20 sides in order to be an icosahedron.

    ----

    "Side" does not mean edge.

Side is another term for "face".

    20-sided dice are icosahedrons:

    ----

    2 × 20 = 40

Two icosahedrons would have 40 sides.

  3. by sides do you mean faces, like triangles. or edges??

There are 20 faces and 30 edges per icosahedron,

so 40 or 60 is your answer.

  4. 40

  5. 2 * 30 = 60
