How many single moms on here receive child support?

Was getting it until he went to prison.  Died in prison.  Now my kid gets social security benefits until 18.  The total amount of SS equals the amount he would have owed me when he got out of prison...Ironic,huh?

I also have a court order to receive child support.

Last time I checked, he owed me over $5000.

What's nice is that I don't NEED the freakin' money.

It would be nice to receive it - that way I can spend some money on myself, instead of my whole income going to bills and my son.

Is there a reason you want to know?

I receive child support for my 2 kids. It was a battle as I had to get a lawyer and have the money taken from his pay checks. It was worth it though. Your kids deserve to be supported by both parents, just think what you could do with more money. Start off by going to the Dept of Social Services, they have a division that deals with just child support, They will give you the necessary forms to fill out.

It's ordered by the courts that I receive support for my son...... But he has only paid one weekly amount in the past two months.

Loser.  I hope he goes to jail.  GRRRR.
