How many sit-ups????????

i was just wondering how many inches can you loose from your stomach by doing sit-ups. i mean if you done something like 450 sit-ups would u loose half an inch or what? thnx

  1. You cannot just loose weight from one area of your body alone.. so to answer your question, none. You will just gain muscle, but in order to actually see it, you have to loose weight. =] Hope I helped!


  2. I am a certified personal trainer and can tell you that it is next to impossible to lose inches off your waist by doing sit ups alone. I would say the best way to lose inches off your waist is a healthy diet, exercise and supplementation. There's no approximate scale for the amount of fat you would lose from your waist, but I do know that doing about 200-250 situps a day will make a huuge difference if you also run/jog a few miles per day. My soccer coach is a personal trainer so she has us jogging 2 (extra-out of practice) miles and doing 200 situps/day and we all see a wonderful improvement! It's hard but it becomes a lot easier if you eat a lot of food, healthy food, like protein and carbs and drink water too!

    And it doesnt just fall off.

    I do 25 in a morning, bum shuffles for 20 mins in the afternoon and 25 sit ups at night.

    Give it a week and u will notice a change of how u feel, not neccessarliy loss of weight in that time.
