  1. London has tried to keep it's skyline clear of skyscrapers, they thought looking at church spires and such like was better then looking at a great block of buildings. So they won't be building that many if any in central London.

  2. i know!!! a lot

  3. They have about 5 massive ones planned in the coming years. I hope they stop after that, or we'll just become another boring square New York kind of city. London's skyline is lovely as it is without these American infestations.

  4. there are exactly some skyscrapers currently being built/planned. who says skyscrapers anymore. haven't heard that since junior school. 29 years ago

  5. far too many, its killing the spirit of the city.

Lord Worthy, either you don't live in London or haven't looked, building work going on all over, more skyscrapers planned and will destroy any vestige of the history of our capital. I live here and often travel through the area, and if you look at what they have done to Canary Wharf, Docklands, its nothing short of criminal.

Canary wharf can be seen for miles because of the buildings size, and it doesn't mean because they are not slam in the centre that it doesn't affect the skyline. As

James pointed out we will end up with a skyline like NY, fine for them but not in this city.

  6. Sorry can't help, I live in Dublin
