  2. I understand that competition is a way of business, and can be healthy in some cases, but what I find awful is the third parties that get in on the bullying, mostly just to make a buck.

I heard of a case recently, where an independent Juice Bar had signed a lease in a large shopping center, and they had an agreement in the lease that the Shopping center would not allow another Juice Bar to operate in the centre while they occupied the centre as a Juice Bar.

Months later (after the business had started booming) a large national Juice Bar chain approached the center and said they wanted to open up. As the large company was aware of the agreement they had, they just offered more money to the center management. So then both the large chain and the shopping center went to huge lengths to try and break the lease with the little guy. They tried everything (putting crazy conditions on the lease that no other shop in the center had to abide by, saying that they also served coffee, so could not be a Juice Bar etc, etc) and the little guy was eventually forced to close down.

NOW THAT REALLY SUCKS!! I don't know what the point of making agreements with companies is, when they can be broken just because $$$ are flashed in their faces. Not really an incentive to 'get out there and have a go' is it?

  3. I've never been picked on by another company....twice.

  4. Tell me more about this... you're being harassed? How so...?

You should be protected by the antitrust law....
