Large, overweight snakes need to purchase 2 tickets and use 2 seats, but skinny ones can't be doubled up.  The only exception is that a mother snake can hold one infant on her lap....well she could if she had hands.

If you contact British Airways and find out the internal volume of the 747 and then remove 35% for seats, fittings etc then  contact your nearest zoo and find the volume of the average snake, you can do a simple calculation, it's not that difficult.
