How many songs can you fit on a 1GB MP3 player

Just regular 4-5 minute songs?

9,000 to 12,000 some being audio format and some being mp3 format. Now all mp3 format I don't know. But this is a start since on my old 40 gig harddrive I would have 6-8,000 both formats and still lots of room.

I am serious. I bought a gig, harddrive just for storing music cause I am tired of dowloading and saving to cd's. My collection is steady enlarging.

about 200-250 songs dont listen to other people who say 500 or 1500 thats not true!!!
