If your letter is not over the weight limit, the postage is just one 42 cent stamp.  I think the limit is one ounce.  If the envelope weighs more additional postage is required.  Also, if your envelope is not standard size, more postage is required.  Check on usps.com for details.

One 42 cent stamp should do it if it's a regular sized envelope.  If you are sending quite a few sheets of paper, 59 cents would be needed for the extra weight.
