How many stamps do I need to put on a letter im sending to PA from FL?

I have one on there right now, but im not sure if I need more. Is one good enough?

  1. Either a "forever" stamp or a 42 cent stamp will work.

    Assuming it's under 1 ounce, of course.

It depends on the weight of the letter.  I don't believe that the distance the letter would be travelling really comes into play.  If the letter consists of only a few pieces of paper then 1 stamp should do it.  Just make sure that your stamp is the current amount or else you may need one or two cent stamps. Hope this helps.

  3. The postal rate is not based on distance but on weight.

    Just go to the post office, they will weigh it for you and tell you if you need more than one stamp.
