How many stamps do I need to send something from North York to Markham?

Okay, I'm from North York (Toronto, Ontario xP) and my friend lives in Markham (Toronto Ontario)

Umm...yeah, how many stamps will I need if I wanted to send them something, because they're a close friend, and so...yeah. :D

Just one. But it has to be for the right amount of postage.

Just because it is your friend and the letter is going a few kilometres down the road doesn't mean you get it cheaper. It costs the same if you wanted Canada Post to send a letter to your neighbours home, as it would to send all the way to Vancouver. You are paying for the processing, rather than the distance.
