This is the Post Office website to calculate postage.  You need to know how much your package weighs, envelope + tie + anything else that is going in the envelope.  You enter your zipcode and the recipients zipcode.  Follow the instructions.  It will tell you how much it costs, and then you need to make sure what amount of cents are on the stamps that you have.  A really easy way to do this is to take your prepared package to the Post Office, they will weigh it for you and then you just pay them the money.  They will put the postage on it for you and mail it.

it depends on the weight of the object and the box together. I would imagine 2 at the most or just to be sure. By the way it wont matter where its going.

Your package will probably have to go at the "large envelope" rate.

Weigh the tie and the wrapping.

If the weight is not over 5 oz. - $1.51

If the weight is not over 6 oz. - $1.68

If the weight is not over 7 oz. - $1.85

The best thing to do is take it to the post office, where you can either ask the clerk or use the self-service equipment.
