I heard you can get 82 cents a pound of cans around here. How many cans in a pound?

  3. I have been turning cans into cash for many years now. It takes approximately 15 (12 oz.) clean cans.  I say approximately because not every can is EXACTLY the same weight. So between 15-17 cans will equal 1 full pound. Be sure to call your recycling company BEFORE taking them down there to be sure what the pay out is. Right now it is pretty high here as well. Now would be the time to turn them in. Good luck & God bless!

  4. 16 clean, dry 12 oz. cans per pound.   Add in a few slugs or cig. butts and it cuts the number way down.
