  1. The territories are: ACT & Norther Territory

The states: Tasmania, (an island) Victoria, New South Wales, Queensland, South Australia and western Australia.

We have a federal government, then each state has it's own government and then there are the local government bodies, (council)

Australian Labour party is in charge Federally and in Victoria.

I'm not sure which parties run the other states.

  2. 5 and 6 including tazzie

    or 7 including nothern territory

no you dont include the ACT as a state...

  3. 6 states, all Labor.  And as the Labor governments are not particularly impressive you can only despair at the incompetence of the opposition Liberals and Nationals.

  4. there are six states

    Victoria

    New South Wales

    Tasmania

    Queensland

    South Australia

    Western Australia

    and 2 territories

Australian Capital Territory - (much like the district of Columbia in the USA)

    Northern Territory

yes often the States and territories are combined together for counting

the Australian Labor party is currently in control of every single state and territory government in the country and is also in power at the federal level

  5. OK first first ACT and NORTHERN TERRITORIES ARE TERRITORIES

NEW SOUTH WHALES, QUEENSLAND ,VICTORIA WESTERN AUSTRALIA, SOUTH AUSTRALIA AND TASMANIA are STATES.

so that's 6 states and 2 territories and the labour party are in government in all states and territories and also Federal
