How many strips for fabric measuring 8"x18" can I get out of 1 yrd of fabric?

  1. If your fabric is 36" wide, 8.

    If your fabric is 44" wide, 10.

    If your fabric is 60" wide, 14.

  4. Assuming you are a quilter and the fabric is the usual 42" width; you would get 10 pieces that measure 8x18. Divide the fabric into 1/2 yard pieces (hence your 18") and than cut those pieces into 8" pieces. Each 18" (1/2 yard) piece will give you 5 pieces 8x18". Hope this makes sense! Good luck!

  5. need to know the width of fabric.

    a yard of fabric has 36".  but the width could be from 36" to 60".

    i would guess at least 4
