How many summits and deaths occurred in 2006 ?

If you are talking all over the world, there is no way to be specific.  There are many mountains in Canada alone that are summited by weekend climbers and are never documented.  There are then the technical mountains that you have to register at but then not even all of those make summits, many have to turn back, and its hardly ever recorded if summits are made.

As for deaths, you can never really tell but you'd be safe to say 100-200 a year but again, with so many mountains being climbs you don't have to register at, you never know for sure.
