  1. i believe that now they r only judging off visible tats. As long as it does not show ull b ok. They hv waiver for some situations tho.

That said, it does depend on ur MOS. Some jobs will not allow ANY at all. No markings for identification in top secret jobs and some others as well.

  2. Depends on the branch but mostly in all branches, so long they don't show, none on the neck, face, wrists or hands. Also not gang related or offensive or racial etc.

I have a tattoo on my right calf, all I had to do was write a description on it and that's it. No problem.

Have has many as you like. However, once you DEP in, while in DEP you cannot get anymore, and when you enlist you can get more after/during A school with a chit (permission to get a tattoo paper) and so long you get it in the US not any other country or you will get in trouble.

  3. the Marine Corps tattoo policy states they may not be visible in PT clothing (t-shirt and gym shorts) they are the most lax on tats and if u have any gang tats on you no matter where it must be removed they will know if its a gang tat they have a database they look in

  4. It depends on the branch of service. For instance the Army has no percentage limitations on tattoos and has changed there policy in 2006 so you can now have tattoos on your hands and back of your neck. They just cannot be sexist, racist, ect. Other branches, you cannot have tattoos on forearms, hands and back of neck.

  5. U can have as many tattos as u want as long as they are not on your neck, face, lower part of  arm, or hand

  6. I believe as many as you want as long as they can be covered nothing on hands or neck or face.  Ask your recruiter.

  7. Actually, the military has now allowed tattoos to be on the hand and neck now as long as they are no gang related, offensive, or sexual.
