How many teachers out there are trying to find a job but are having a hard time?

i adore kids...i really want to be a teacher...its my dream but will i have to choose a different career? im pretty willing to move i think...

As a teacher, I would suggest you start by contacting the human resource departments for boards of education, either that or local teaching unions.  They are able to give you long term projections about retiring teachers,  and the number of graduates they predict will be available to fill the jobs for particular years.

Here in Texas, they are using the Alternative program because there are not enough teachers.

My city just let go 500 teachers, administrators and paraprofessionals.  Depends on where you live, really.
