  1. ...I calculate about 35 teens find they are spiritually lost or confused...

But seriously, I am very sound in my spirit.

  2. Hormones, new friends, thinking on a higher level.

Yeah.  Sort of part of the territory, sweetie.

The thing that got me through was Youth Group.  If you are in a group of people your own age, in similar situations, all looking for spiritual learning, and getting good guidance, you won't feel like you are floundering so much.

  3. is that another word for atheist because thats me  and its because i used my brain at 14

  4. me!

    and i don't know why

    there is undoubtedly a god

but why is the world in such a state

and why so many different religions

theres so many to choose from

although christianity seems the most plausible

    its just confusing!

  5. not me

  6. Far too many.. Teens are much smarter today and more and more of them are rebelling against the nonsense of christianity.  .Most of them are unaware that God's truth is even available to them..  That is one of the reasons I continue to tell people God's truth is available by reading the Conversations with God books by Neale Donald  Walsch.  .It is no accident that you have been made aware of these miracle books.  .God bless

  7. Why, are you looking for a new conversion tool?

  8. if they are ,they need mental help.see a doctor, its a mass epidemic.

  9. it can b hard at times to keep my faith strong. especially during pms and when things get stressful and when i dont read my Bible as much as i should. my parents always tell me that as u get older ur faith gets stronger and u doubt less.

    best wishes!

  10. i think most if not at all at some point. whether it be a serious quest to find truth or just a desire to fit in. i think all have questioned at least once. some more seriously than others- but still i would say the mass majority. i think that those who have not grown up with a spiritual influence in their lives at teen years at least start to ask questions. maybe to find out more- or maybe just to solidify why they don't believe. those that have had a spiritual influence i think feel lost or confused because there is a lot of pressure to be a certain way when you are a teen. whatever the cool people deem worthy. whether they feel embarassed about their particular denomination because it's not the cool one or whether it be just a belief in general. there is a lot of pressure from teens to conform to what every body else is doing- and a lot of the time what teens are doing is what most churches are trying to get them to not do. so there becomes an inner conflict of which side to choose. plus a lot of the time either way- with spiritual influence in their life or not, most teens are riding on the coat tails of their parents. it's usually the time that we start to define our beliefs from that of our parents- and if it's truly what they believe or if it's just what they have accepted as what you do.

  11. I attend a Religious Science church - where we accept and celebrate all religions.  The majority of the teens in our youth group are VERY Spiritually aware.  They know about lots of different religions - and their teachings.  A lot of them do not claim to be Religious Scientists - and say they don't know what their religion is.  BUT - that is a good thing.  Your teen years are a time of discovery.  Teens should be learning about life and the tools they need to make them the best people they can be.  Religion is simply a tool.

If my teen (she's 13 right now) decides to be a Muslim or a Christian or an Atheist - it will be fine.  She has learned about many virtues and KNOWS these two things...

    1) Religion is a very personal thing - and choice

    2) It is important to respect all religions

I believe that most of the teens who are confused - find themselves lost and confused because they are not educated about their choices.  And sadly, some of them are not even give a choice.

    Namaste!

  12. Hmm is that trying to put down atheism? Because I find a lot of christians think atheists are spirtitually confused, but I don't find christianity to be necessarily spiritual anyway. I'm an atheist, and I'm not "spirtitually lost". I enjoy studying Buddhism (which actually is not really a religion.).

  13. Spiritually lost is double speak for freethinking

  14. I believe almost every one, they are confused, they feel alone, that nobody cares for them, don't listen to their parents, or any other adult, low self esteem, etc. that should change when they get older if they have the right help.
