  1. abc,  cbs   and nbc


  2. CBS, NBC, ABC and Public Broadcasting. I think that Ted Turner came in there, late 60's, with channel 17 and Bill Tush from Atlanta. Not sure about 17 though.

  3. The three majors and one or two independents.  You had to get up and change the channel.  They would go off air from 12am and 5am.

    Most stores would be closed on Sundays.

  4. Three and a half: ABC CBS NBC and public tv was just starting in late 60's.

  6. In Austin, the capitol of Texas, there was only one, owned by the wife of LBJ.
