  1. The candidates themselves will not read them. However, a volunteer probably did, and will have to write a short report on it, that may get the candidates attention for all of 5 seconds.

As to whether or not candidates listen, they listen when the numbers are big enough. If out of 10,000 responses, 8,000 of them asked Romney to support the fairtax, he would notice, because it would show up on that volunteer's report. If only 100 of 10,000 supported the fairtax, then Romney would be safe in ignoring it.

So, next time you see a question similar that is asked by a "candidate", then find all the key words you can think of and use them, so you can help make the numbers go in the direction you want. Call your friends to do the same.

  2. No, and they have their own minds made up as to the way things should be in their own vision of America.  Nobody pays voters any attention.

  3. He won't, I bet he didn't even write the question.

  4. They will not personally read them - but the input will be collated and presented to them.

  5. My thoughts are that he may or may not have have written the question, and he will have one of his lackeys read the responses and then have somebody that he trusts choose a best answer.

    Same for the rest.
