  1. Tides vary from day to day. As the earth, moon, and sun orbit , their position constantly shift, causing slightly different gravitational effects.  Some places have two tides in one day.

  2. Depend where you are. Some places have 1 high and 1 low, some have 1 high high, 1 low high, 1 low low and 1 high low.

etc. Depends on the bathymetry of the area.

  3. there are 2 full cycles. Each cycle has a high tide and a low tide. So there are 2 high tides and 2 low tides for a total of 4 tidal extremes.

  4. at least two on each coast how many coasts are there?

  5. 4 tides

    2 high 2 low

    2 full cycles (hi-low)

    each approximately 6 hours!
