I know tiger lilies will multiply, and I'm more than happy if they take over the space we have, but how many should I plant to fill up a 10' x 5' bed but not have them spilling out over the walkway on one of the 10' side? Should I plant them about a foot away from the walkway and about foot apart from each bulb?

  1. For a area with plenty of sun, 50 to sixty would do it, in semi shade add about 15 to 20 more and space about eight inches appart in random planting. You can always dig the bulbs up and transplant to other areas once the bed is established.

  2. a foot apart so you will need 50  bulbs
