  1. Only 13 men have set foot on Luna. (That is the name of the large chunk of rock we call a moon.) But I don know exactly when.

  5. In the moon - never.  No astronauts have dug into the moon's surface (except to gather soil or rock samples).

    On the moon - 6 different manned US missions (Apollo 11, 12, 14, 15, 16, and 17) with a total of 12 astronauts have been on the moon.

    As for when, they were between 1969 and 1972 - if you want details, you will find lots of information online (nasa.gov or wikipedia has tons of information on the Apollo missions).
