How many time zones would I be crossing?

Suppose I was in Toronto where I took a plane to New York.

Once in New York I changed planes to go to Paris, and In Paris I changed planes and arrive in Cairo.

How many time zones would I have crossed?

6 times zones not counting Toronto& New York[ shares same timezone] and Cairo. But, with all times zones included then 8 timezones total.

Well, Toronto and New York are in the same time zone, I believe that there are 6 time zones between here and Cairo, not counting the ones New York and Cairo are in.

Toronto to New York are in the same time zone so none there, then New York to Paris; New york is 6 hours behind Paris so you would travel in 6 different time zones, then Cairo is 1 hour in front of Paris so thats 1 more time zone. so in all you would have visited 7 different time zones including the one you started in
