Just curious I read somewhere that while incubating eggs they need to be flipped over 2-5 times a day and usually ya stop flipping them 3 days before the estimated hatch date.

Is this correct?

been a while since I read up on this stuff.

  1. what you are doing will work fine. Humidity is also a factor... should raise the humidity slightly the last few days.

  2. Three times a day minimum.

  3. If your incubator is not self turning, then the eggs need to be turned at least three times a day,

Depending on what type of eggs they are and the time they have to be incubated,"do'not" stop turning till the day before they are due to hatch.

  4. Yup, thats right.  Turn them about 4 / 5 times though just to be on the safe side.

  5. If I knew what kind of eggs you had I could tell you.  Some eggs require more turning than others.  Look up the species of bird you have on the internet and you can easily find out.  Just type in  "incubation of cockatiel (or whatever you have) eggs.
