How many times a month should you give a sheltie puppy a bath?

Question

For example.... twice every week, or once every two weeks, and maybe a website that tells you EVERYTHING you need to know about taking care of a sheltie puppy? Thank you!

Only once every 6-8 weeks, unless they get terribly filthy form playing in the dirt.  A great place to learn aobut shelties is the American Shetland Sheepdog Associaton's website.  www.assa.org.  Also, there are a few good e-mail lists regarding shelties.  E-mail me through my profile and I will tell you how to get on one.

Bathing dogs or puppies too often can strip the oils from their coat--it's not healthy.  A sheltie needs only to be bathed 2-4 times a year, at most.  Regular brushing is much more important.

i took my dog in for a cleaning and all the good stuff at pet co and they told me you should give her/him a bath once a month if its a house dog.. because their hair can get dry and they can get hydrated..thats what i was told...

Every other week is okay.  If you brush it daily, even less.

you should wash a dog about 2 a month unless thy are extremely dirty because a bath will wash away their natural oil and it may develop dry skin if you take a bath too often.

DO NOT give the puppy a bath twice a Week! That will dry up His/Her coat, about Once a Month, twice a month if He/She gets dirty.

Id say every 2 weeks is best.

you don't want to wash out the natural oils in your dogs fur.

and you don't want your dogs skin to dry out,

from over bathing.
