  1. Most tracks ate 1/4 mile per lap.  So, 12 laps for 3 miles, although some tracks do differ in size.

  2. 5 or 4 times don't they tell u in school

  3. 12 times around

  4. One mile=1600m

    One lap=400m

    Four laps equal a mile.

  5. four so 3x times would be twelve.

  6. Should be four for one mile, so twelve all together.

  7. you should run on a trail or neighborhood or something. way more enjoyable!!

  8. 4 laps around = 1 mile

    12 laps = 3 miles

keep in mind international mile is 1607m but that is insignificant if it isnt being timed.

keep in mind also that its 4 laps in lane ONE = 1 mile, lane 2 is longer and longer 3 is even longer and so on.

  9. Yea one mile on the track is 4 laps. So you'll have to run 12 times around the track to get 3 miles in. I wouldn't if i were you, its going to be really boring. Either run on a trail or bring in mp3 player with you so you don't get discouraged of all the boredom around you.

  10. 12 laps

  11. i think 4 times around a 400m track is 1 mile

  12. 4 times around

  13. Most tracks are 400 meters.  A mile is actually 1,609 meters.  The starting line for the actual mile race is located about ten meters behind the common finish line.

To technically run a full and true three miles, you would run 12 laps plus about thirty extra meters.
