  1. Are you actually talking to them or are they just leaving messages?  If they are leaving messages, they can keep calling multiple times every day.  If you talk to them, they should only call you once a day.

This is the original creditor and they don't have to abide by the same rules and third party collection agencies.  But is sounds like, whoever you spoke to didn't annotate your promised pay date on the computer.  Thus, your account continues to be automatically brought up for the collectors to call.

  2. they can call you up to three maybe four times a day it should be stopped as it is a form of harassment

  3. From what I understand, unless you tell them in writing to not contact you regarding your late payments, they can call up to 3 times a day from 8am-8pm monday through friday. Understand though, if you do that, they may pursue reposessing the car. You should try to send in a partial payment atleast in the mean time to avoid that situation.

Check the website for the Federal Trade Commission to see specifically.

  4. Why not call them before they call you,  just to let them know you know their routine and that you are been considerate in calling them , to let them know that you still don't have their money and have notified them the last 14 times they have called in the last 7 days.

The economy seems to be giving everyone the finger.
