As many as you like...but eventually someone's going to shoot you!

Filing bankruptcy is only a "legal procedure" to duck out on your obligations.  If you only ever spend money you already earned, and you plan for emergencies, you won't need to use it.

Think about it, even if it was seven years after you loaned me $10,000 and I filed bankruptcy, wouldn't you still think you deserved your money back?

Theoretically you can declare bankruptcy an unlimited amount of times.  State laws will actually determine how often you can.  Where ever you are, it may be once every 7 years, once every 10 years.

In Nevada for instance, you can file Chapter 7 every 6 years, and chapter 13 anytime.
