  1. You can take it as much as you want, but I would only take it at most 2-3 times in junior/senior years. You will not just magically improve in a month, but you should see a little improvement over the years. It is suggested to take it the spring of the year you take algebra II because that is as high as the math goes (basic trig functions). I did do that 7th grade thing through the Duke search, but my score was of course much much higher in high school. Good luck!

  2. I've heard of people taking the SAT as early as sixth grade and as late as senior year.  I personally took the SAT once a year from seventh grade to eleventh grade.  You can take the SAT as many times as you please, but once you're in high school, each time you take the SAT goes on record, and colleges aren't too happy to see you take the SAT more than, say, about three times or so.  That's not a concrete number or a universal concept (each school has its own way of handling multiple SAT testings), but keep in mind that you do not want to take the SAT 20 times.  Instead, studying between well spaced out testings is most effective in raising your scores.

  3. You can take it as many times as you want. My score went up each time I took them. However, most people don't increase their scores by very much and colleges will be able to see your scores from the past few times (I think it's either three or four). The earliest I've heard them being taken is 7th grade which is when I first took mine with some sort of special permission letter that said I could.
