  1. Too many times to count, its an on going conflict from the time

    of Ishmael & Isaac.

  2. I think there is no good mathematical answer to this.  We could talk about the Arab-Israeli wars in 1948 and 1956 and 1967 and 1973, but these were not really Israeli-Palestinian conflicts per se.  We could include the Israeli invasions of Lebanon that were provoked by attacks from Palestinians who migrated to Lebanon, but these were really not Israeli-Palestinian conflicts per se either.  I suppose we could count the intifadas, but there was so much Palestinian terrorism in between intifadas, and throughout the 1970s before any intifadas.  We could count the various phases of the settler movement that began decades ago and pitted Israelis against Palestinians, but it seems like one long conflict to me.

Maybe Mimi S above has the best answer; one conflict that has not stopped.  And that will presumably not stop until there is a Palestinian state living in peace alongside Israel.

  3. Once, it just never ended.

  4. Oh! tommyboy,

Israel never had a conflict.  When the UN forced Great Britain to discontinue British occupation and make way for Israel, there was no more region called Palestine.

But as you can see in the Israel Section, we are constantly invaded and harassed by unwelcome occupiers.  From just this small section you can clearly see who has no respect for territory and space.  You can clearly see who is needy and has no self-respect.  You can clearly see why no one would come to the aid of those who chose to hold on to the past instead of spending time improving there own future.  You can clearly see why Israel is constantly having to defend herself and swat people off her back, which is what Muslims refer to as "occupation."  In fact, they are trying to occupy - not Israel.

    Sincerely,

    Ms. Miche ; })

  5. It started once 60 years ago and never ended.

AND WHO THE h**l IS Mimi S NOW? and she gave exactly the same as my answer too!?? Well I only read her answer after submitting mine

Mimi is my name and I don't give the permission to anyone to use it on this section because that would cause confusion. I am regular here and I suggest non regular Mimis to change their names

  6. 60 years worth. I don't know of anyone who kept count of how many times. Cheers!

  7. its on going till there will be peace

  8. The conflict began before Israel was created--during World War I, Britain promised the Arabs who had aided them (in spite of this being betrayal of the Ottoman empire) self-rule, but they also promised Jews the country of Palestine (the Balfour Declaration.)

(Palestine was created after World War I. Israel wasn't created until after World War II.)

And it went on and on and on.
