One of my close friends was telling me that she might be pregnant the other day. We were getting ready for our volleyball game and she said she wasn't sure because her period is late.

I said "Well, as long as you're using protection I doubt you are." (just assuming that she had been having safe s*x) and she says "Oh I do use protection. We've only done it without a condom four times. I should be fine right?"

HOW MANY TIMES DO WE HAVE TO SAY IT ONLY TAKES ONCE!!

It's like we've been in three years of health by now. Come on!

That is like the boy who wrote he came in his girlfriend accidentally. The point being is that it only takes one sperm to get to an egg so if they don't use protection they are basically saying I want to have children and ruin my life. Teens use the brain God gave you on your shoulders to make smart choices, not the brain in your shorts that don't have good sense.

your friend is definitely not mature enough to be having s*x. if you don't use protection you shouldn't be doing it.

At least you sound like you have a good head on your shoulders. I don't understand why kids are having s*x, (unprotected at that!), younger and younger as the years pass. It's really scary to me! You should start something at your school where you can discuss/educate your peers. Every little bit helps!

but alot of times, it's pressure by the guy, or they get caught up and think nothing will happen.

Teens need to learn how to control they're feelings and do what they KNOW is right, which is NOT unprotected s*x.
