This is actually a good question however I don't know the answer; it would refer to her stint on the town council in Wasilla and maybe they don't have a provision for that in a small town government.

She's only been in office for 20 months...she doesn't vote, btw. However, on a side note, McCain has voted present 60+ times more than Obama over the same time period.

Present is not an option for administration. You have to be up or down on all items presented to you or you loose support and credibility.

I thought people still had to take a corse in High School that taught how governments worked. Must be another one of the fine tallents of the federal teachers union at work.

A more accurate question for comparison purposes would be to ask how many times McCain has voted "present".
