Is it considered 'improper' for your majesty to show happiness?

  1. The Queen is known for her smile.  Why do you think she isn't.

She was born on 21 April, and to my belief is a Taurus, maybe

wrong.  She's a smiler.  Unless it is a serious official ceronmonial event, when it is necessary for her to look serious.  After all she is the QUEEN!

  2. Hello -- take a look at some of the web's slide shows when she is in informal settings -- not the Opening of Parliament or a State Funeral or Remembrance Day ceremonies.  Of course, she's serious then.

But at the Garden parties or Ascot -- smiles, smiles, smiles!!!!

Three cheers for Liz in my book!!

  3. Basically ppl around England are of a more serious nature.

Perhaps she smiled on her wedding day?

(Then again, perhaps not, as she'd then have to worry about what everyone was assuming they'd be doing shortly after).

  4. she used to do it all the time when she was young - and was criticised by the likes of Altrincham for being schoolgirlish and dumb. Maybe that's why she doesn't do it as often.

She has so many serious representative duties that a smile may be out of place, but has a sense of humor. You may recall that on her wedding anniversary she was quoted as saying"on this of all days, I can be forgiven for saying My Husband and I...".

I would imagine once Wills decides to get married you will see a lot more smiles from her Maj.

  5. Her name is Elizabeth. She smiles frequently.I have books filled with pictures of her smiling.Perhaps,in the pictures that you saw of her,she just stopped smiling, had a sore jaw,or was thinking of some of the faux pas of  certain family members?

The Queen is a Taurus, not a Virgo. This is easlily researched.

And harold b,I've seen some of your other posts;the posts sound a tad bit disrespectful-is that your intent? I hope not.Everyone, even royals, deserve basic respect.

  6. I don't know who Queen Liza is.  If you mean Queen Elizabeth II, then she does smile from time to time, but she doesn't go around with a silly great grin on her face all the time, why should she?  Where is the value in smiling all the time?  it just looks silly.
