How many times have made a mistake speaking spanish ?

I learnt Spanish after French and Italian. So I dont think I made any glaring mistakes in Spanish. However in French after a meal I refused seconds because I was pregnant. In Italian I told someone their parents had to be hedgehogs (I meant rich) to be able to send their children to University. Or that I wanted to go on a little tadpole of the city (instead of a small tour). A friend also went into a tobacconists and asked for a box of mammals (instead of matches).

All the time!  I say "Uno momento" and my Tia will tell me "Un momento, not UNO!" but I was born in the US so my Spanish is horrible.  Here's another example: llovando instead of lloviendo - eep!

I avoid speaking Spanish at all costs. Thus, there are very few mistakes. I know HOW to speak Spanish, I just find it ridiculous to have to do so in America.

Everyone has mistakes when they speak another language that is not their first one..and believe me lot of people have mistakes speaking their FIRST language.
