  1. I took my driving test twice (and passed the second time).  The first time was a disaster.  Things were going perfectly, but then I was asked to parallel park.  I was never taught to do it at driving school (my driving school instructor said that in my state, they don't make you do it 90% of the time so there was no point in teaching me how), so I told the DMV officer that didn't know how.  He told me to give it a go anyway (and in front of an actual car), so I did, and I slightly touched the vehicle in front of me.  I didn't cause any damage at all, but he made me go up to the owner's house and tell them.  The owner got so mad at me, even though there were no scratches on the car.  At this point, it was clear that I had failed, so the DMV officer made me get out of my car.

The second time, I passed because by this time, I had more experience driving, and I knew how to parallel park.  Plus, the DMV officer was very nice, so I wasn't as nervous as I had been the previous time.

Here's a bit of advice to anyone who is taking their driving test:  I know that it's nervewracking to take a driving test and worry about everything that could possibly go wrong, but do your best to be confident.  If you show the DMV officer that you are scared, then he will use it against you.  Also, don't stress out if you don't pass the first time.

  2. I haven't done my driving test yet but one things for sure.

Nobody passes their test the first time - and thats what I'm dreading beacuse when I'm old enough the prices for driving test will be extortionate and the fact that you will know your likely to make loads of mistakes on your first go - its bad!

  3. I had to do it twice because the first time, I didn't look backwards (turn around in my seat) when backing up.  I was better and more comfortable using the mirrors then.  But teh next time I went, I knew what to do and passed.

  4. i havent done my test yet but my brother has and he passed it the 2nd time

first time he failed was because he had not adjusted his mirrors infront of the instructor(even though they already were)

and while backing up he didnt look back totally so that made him fail

also: make sure you know how to parallel park

and when u are giving the dont show that you are nervous or ur instructor will be even more hard on you
