  1. It has happened 79 times in first class cricket (2 times in test cricket).

    Hedley Verity took 10 wickets for the least amount of runs! he took 10 wickets for 10 runs playing for Yorkshire

    It has happened 3 times in a 12 a side matches too!

    1. Wisden's 10 wickets were all bowled

    2. No analyses are available for the first two ever instances (by Hinkly and Wisden)

    3. In EM Grace's match one batsman was absent, so he took all 10 wickets to fall

    1)  J.C. Laker of England against Australia in the 4th Test of

          1956 season played at t Old Trafford, Manchester from

          26th to 31stJuly 1956.  He took 10 wickets for 53runs

          from 51.2overs in the 2nd innings of the match. He also

          took 9 wickets in the first ionnings of the match.

    2)  Anil Kumble of India against Pakistan in the 2nd test

          of 1998/99 season played at  at Feroz Shah Kotla, Delhi,

          from 4th to 7th February, 1999.   He took 10 wickets for

          74 runs from 26.3 overs in the 2nd innings of that match.
